JOB DESCRIPTION: Technology Facilitator

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Arizona Teacher Certification
  • Demonstrates the ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction
  • Possesses collaborative leadership skills, mentoring skills and knowledge of the adult learners
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate assessment results and current integrated technology research.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to innovate
  • At least three years of teaching experience
  • Extensive experience with instructional technology software, tools, and resources
  • Masters Degree (preferred)
  • Bilingual (preferred)


REPORTS TO:
Director of STEM and Assessment Programs


JOB TITLE DEFINITION:


Supports staff with the implementation and use of district-adopted technology tools, programs, and initiatives through training and technology intervention.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports and contributes to the accomplishment of district and school goals and priorities.
  2. Implements and provides ongoing training and professional development on instructional software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office 365, grade book, lesson planning, instructional programs, and assessment platforms.
  3. Facilitates the implementation of district adopted instructional software in collaboration with classroom teachers.
  4. Serves as the lead trainer for technology-related materials including but not limited to, Interactive Boards, laptops, 3D printers, iPads, Coding and STEM materials.
  5. Facilitates the implementation of district adopted instructional software in collaboration with classroom teachers.
  6. Encourages teacher and student innovation and creativity while supporting 21st Century skills through technology and project-based learning methods.
  7. Creates a standardized system to evaluate the effectiveness of technology software, applications, programs, and resources.
  8. Possesses an innovative thought process that supports the maximum use of available technological resources that benefit student learning and supports teachers with the implementation of these resources.
  9. Serves on the District Technology Committee and assists in the selection of equipment and other instructional materials.
  10. Works with district and school administration to create ways to incorporate technology into teachers’ instructional practice and provides teachers support through the implementation process.
  11. Supports with the development and continuous updating of the district website.
  12. Researches and stays current with research based on the use of technology as it pertains to instruction and school improvement.
  13. Works with site administrators, coaches and teachers to disaggregate data and support teachers in developing lessons based on student data.
  14. Works with outside agencies to integrate technology and various STEM projects into science and computer classrooms.
  15. Supports the creation and implementation of Digital Citizenship lessons.
  16. Participates in mentor and coach training and serves as a mentor/coach to computer science teachers and other designated staff members.
  17. Ability to transport self and technology related devices to various district locations.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Twelve months; paid on Classified Exempt Placement Schedule column I. Employee benefits

in accordance with Board policy.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on evaluation

of support staff.
