TITLE:                                              Tolleson After School Kids Coordinator

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                      

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Education or other related field
  • Three years of experience in recreation or education
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
  • Working irregular hours, split shifts and evenings will be required.
  • This is a seasonal/on-demand part time position based on program offerings;
  • Computer skills required for program planning and information.REPORTS TO:         Executive Director of Curriculumn and InstructionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Plan Coordinate recreation activities at school sites;
    2. Supervises part-time recreation personnel;
    3. Plans, implements, and evaluates recreation programs;
    4. Communication with the teaching staff, parents and general public
    5. Recruits, directs, and evaluates the activities of volunteers and contracted staff;
    6. Keeps activity records and prepares reports;
    7. Meets with individuals or groups to stimulate interest and support for recreation activities;
    8. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Classified Hourly Placement Schedule grade 8.

 

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on evaluation of classified staff.
